A or An? Indefinite Article Activity

Description

This  visually scaffolded written activity accompanies our Indefinite Article Pairs game.

Children identify which nouns need ‘a’ or ‘an’ as their articles.  They can fill in the missing article and then practice writing sentences using ‘a’  or ‘an’, after orally rehearsing them first.

Learners of EAL often struggle with articles and determiners, especially if they don’t occur in their first languages. This activity is an introduction to the rules around ‘a’ or ‘an’.
