Communication Fans for New EAL Learners
Make your new arrivals feel safe, valued and secure in school with these colourful, beautifully illustrated communication fans. Designed to help beginners of English express their feelings and needs in class, they can also support better communication between staff and parents. Use them to explain how children have felt and behaved during their first few days and weeks at school.
- A beautifully illustrated, visual resource overcoming language barriers to convey meaning.
- Illustrates eight situations expressing basic human needs including hunger, thirst, confusion and the need to use the toilet, helping children to feel included and welcome in school as quickly as possible.
- Supports early interactions between staff, pupils and parents helping to explain how pupils are feeling or what they have experienced during the school day so that parents can support their children alongside teachers.
Please note that our communication fans are designed for children aged 3+ (due to some small parts).
